Want Big Results? & Happiness?!

As the seasons are changing, it’s imperative that we go within and balance who we are BEing with what we are DOing.

I don’t normally showcase videos from other sources, but I found this short video powerful- reminding us to focus on what’s really important and who we are BEING (all part of living intentionally).

Focusing on who we are BEing is key to rising up to what’s possible- a fact that was highlighted recently as I completed Heart Core Leadership.

It was key to remind myself over and over again, that I am a passionate, connected, loving leader as I helped my teammates do the seemingly impossible- raise over $5K in less than 6 hours to combat human trafficking while simultaneously feeding hundreds of homeless people on the streets of San Diego, with no financial support of our own, funded only by the love and care of our friends, family and local businesses.

I got to get out of my own way- my fear of asking for money and asking for support and throw out the window my limited thinking on what was possible. (can you relate?)

Thought Gremlins

Are Thought Gremlins taking away YOUR dream?
With Halloween upon us I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to talk about *Thought Gremlins* – those thought patterns that keep us from moving forward in our
lives.

Like a thermostat, we can get stuck on set point. We get comfortable. Then, when new possibilities open up, our thought gremlins of dissuasion and/or distraction kick-in and keep us from moving forward. See if these sound familiar.

*DISSUASION**:

*When your self-talk tells you “You can’t!”
“Remember what happened last time. . ”
“Yeh but. . .” or some other form of self-talk that inhibits your ability
to move forward in your life:

– Hit the pause button
– Tell yourself- “Up until now . . .”
– Employ the following 3 steps:

– stop telling your story “I can’t . . because . . .”
– lose your fascination with the story
– become incredibly fascinated with what new
opportunities
are opening up by asking- “What ARE the greater possibilities?”

*DISTRACTION:*

When the minutia of life suddenly has your rapt
attention*.*

– Ask yourself “What do I REALLY want in this moment? My laundry or my
dream?”
– Engage with your vision – remember what you want to create – expand on
it. Read it. Speak it.
– Take ANY action in the direction of your dream.

Power of Gratitude

In this hustle bustle world that we live in, isn’t it interesting that when we pause to give thanks and express heartfelt appreciation that whatever we appreciate expands and shows up more frequently in our lives?

I was recently challenged by a particularly negative person. I was starting to get a little put off, until I shifted my attention to how grateful I am for this person- the unique gifts that they share with me and the world. Miraculously, as I felt greater appreciation, the other person became less of a bother. Have you ever noticed that whatever you focus on,
life mirrors back to you? The more I am grateful for my friends’ love and support, the more love and support I find reflected in my life.

Join me in asking- *”What am I grateful for today?”* And continue to ask
this question as a daily practice and watch to see what “miracles” happen
in your life.
